Porterhouse steaks are cut from the rear end of the short loin and thus include more tenderloin steak, along with (on the other side of the bone) a large strip steak. T-bone steaks are cut closer to the front and contain a smaller section of tenderloin.

A bit of a let down

4 stars for Wiser Meats providing this cut with great quality and service although on the pricey side.
3 stars for the cut itself which I found to be over hyped. I'd go for the separate cuts instead. Your experience/preference might be different.
